Double-click anywhere on your character’s leg to go back to the Legs symbol. Select the whole ‘‘Label’’ layer, then go to the Edit menu and choose ‘‘Copy Frames’’. Click on the top half of your walker’s body and add a new layer using the Insert menu. Name the layer ‘‘Labels’’, then add a keyframe on frame 1. Within this new keyframe, choose the ‘‘Paste Frames’’ function from the Edit menu so that the contact and passing references are duplicated and ready to be used on the arms. Go back to the ‘‘walk’’ symbol by clicking on the walk icon in the top left of your window.
Go to the Insert menu, choose ‘‘Frame’’ and add six more frames up to frame 13. Be sure that the additional frames are added across all four upper-body layers. On the ‘‘Front Arm’’ layer, select frames 1 to 6 with your command key down (or right-click in Windows) and copy all six frames. Then, select frames 8 through 13 and ‘‘paste-frame’’ in your selected frames. While the six frames are still selected, go to the Modify menu, select ‘‘Frame’’, then select ‘‘Reverse’’. Now the front arm should appear to go back and forth across 13 frames!
